About STANDFIRM

Absolutely not! At STANDFIRM we do not want to exclude those who do not know God or have faith in Jesus.

We simply want to build a hiking community for men based upon Christian values and if you come to know God along the way, fantastic, but there is and will never be any pressure to do so. 

Get outdoors, challenge yourself and meet new people!

Equipment needed for each hike may vary depending on the time of year but as a starter: backpack, water bottle, sturdy shoes or boots, waterproof jacket and appropriate walking trousers. 

A full kit list will be sent out prior to each hike.

That is no problem, we will try and source as much as kit as possible for people to use for the hike. We don't want anyone missing out because they don't have kit of their own. 

All we ask is for as much notice as possible prior to the hike, so we have time to source what we can.

Each hike will have a difficulty rating assigned to it on the sign up page, as well as any potential hazards listed. All hikes will be led by an instructor and have a risk assessment carried out prior.  

However, as always please feel free to get in touch and talk to us about each hike if you do have any worries or concerns.

(We want people to enjoy themselves and connect with others along with way, so there won't be any record breaking pace to any of the hikes).

STANDFIRM is a community, not a business, therefore the hikes are free of charge. We may however ask for donations to the cost of any travel arrangements, should it be provided. 

However, there is no obligation, expectation or judgement on giving.
